Winemaker Dinner | Monday, May 8, 2017 | 6:30 pm

Winemaker Christopher Tracy of Channing Daughters Winery | Long Island, New York

We are thrilled to announce that Christopher Tracy, winemaker and co-owner at Channing Daughters Winery on Long Island, will be joining us for our next winemaker dinner. Channing Daughters is a unique and amazing winery, growing over two dozen different grape varieties in their sustainably-farmed vineyards. Their wines are incredibly diverse, original, and delicious, and we are lucky to have them here in Maine! Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear Chris Tracy talk about Channing Daughters’ unique perspective on wine.

From the winery:

“Our foremost commitment at Channing Daughters Winery is the care of our grapevines and the quality of wine in the bottle. Our priorities are deliciousness and reflection of our place! Starting with intense and careful culture of our vines to the hand-picking of ALL grapes, gentle whole cluster-pressing of white fruit, stomping by foot with punch-down by hand of red grapes, and gravity bottling, our methods remain traditional and artisanal. Wine is grown by hand at Channing Daughters. We are proud of every single bottle and are excited about your interest in our wines.”

We look forward to celebrating Spring, hearing Chris Tracy tell the story of Channing Daughters, and sharing these beautiful and unique wines with you.

Burgundy Wine Dinner!

 Wednesday | June 1st |6:30 pm |

grand cru vineyard near Fixin, Cote de Nuits, Burgundy, France

We are excited to celebrate Lolita‘s second birthday with a very special event – a five course Burgundy dinner featuring incredible wines, including several premier crus, paired with dishes that highlight and complement their elegance and distinctive terroir.

People have been making wine in Burgundy since the dawn of time. (Well, more accurately since about the first century…) Romans, Valois Dukes, Benedictine and Cistercian monks, among the many.  From Chablis in the cooler north to the Mâconnais and Beaujolais in the south, Burgundian winemakers produce wines of great finesse and beauty – beguiling wines that are highly sought after.

We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate two years of Lolita than by bringing in some of these beautiful wines to share with you.  We’ll make one exception we don’t think anyone will argue with, by starting with some phenomenal Champagne from Pol Roger, a Grand Marque Champagne house that has been family-owned and operated since 1849.

Once we’re ready for dinner, we’ll feature both village and premier cru wines from two prominent producers:  Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils, a winemaking family that has lived in Chablis since 1814, and Domaine Faiveley, a premier producer with 12 hectares of grand cru and 27 hectares of premier cru vineyard holdings.

Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils Chablis 2014 (organic)
Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils Vaillon 1er Cru 2014 (organic)
Domaine Faiveley Mercurey Clos des Myglands 1er Cru Monopole 2013
Domaine Faiveley Gevrey Chambertin 2013
Château Fuissé Les Combettes Pouilly Fuissé 2011

Oops. That’s actually six wines in all if you include the Champagne. We won’t tell if you don’t.

Join us as we welcome our special guest, Brett Marcy, from Frederick Wildman & Sons, the importer responsible for bringing these and other wonderful wines to us in the United States since 1934.

And to make things easy and simple, we’re using Brown Paper Tickets and have made the evening all inclusive.  $150 per person includes dinner, wine, service/gratuity, and tax. All tickets are purchased in advance here.
